Night shooting in Derby

Never being one to shy away from bad weather I braved the frankly awful gales and biblical rainfall to get some night shots around Derby city.

My team: the Redsnapper tripod and head, D3 and Tokina 28-70 f2.6. Weatherproofing: passed!

Shot at the Guild Hall before the rain really started.

This rather eerie shot is at Liversage Walk, a route I have to go down every evening on the way to the train station; whilst quite nice and colourful in Autumn, now the leaves have fallen it's nothing short of dark and lonely.

Considering how windy it was I'm not only surprised the tripod didn't fall over, but that the shots are actually sharp! A testament to what you can get on a budget.
